The Galaxy Y S5360 is a fairly small and compact smartphone that weighs just 104g, but this also means the onscreen keys are small and cramped. The phone has a three-inch capacitive touchscreen with a low resolution of 240x320 pixels, making it hard to view icons. The phone runs on the Android 2.3 OS, allowing you to access plenty of applications from the Android Market. Sound quality on calls in quiet conditions is average, but dips with the introduction of background noise. Managing 271 minutes of calls when tested with medium reception levels on a 3G network, the phones battery showed promise. It fully recharges in 188 minutes, which is a little slower than average. The phone has only a small (160MB) internal memory, but it comes with a 2GB memory card and supports cards up to 32GB. The Galaxy Y S5360 connects to the Internet via HSDPA (equivalent of 3.5G) and Wi-Fi, and pages open pretty speedily, but the processor struggles to run a lot of apps at once. We managed 247 minutes of browsing on a 3G network from a single charge, which is above average.
